I've committed, with Six Apart's permission, an approaching-release
version of the Friends code I've been working on in partnership with
them. The code is copyright Six Apart, but released under the perl
artistic license ATM.
From the README:
"The Friends plugin allows you to build and maintain a list of Friend
links, initially for the purpose of displaying a blogroll on your
site. Adding, editing, listing, deleting Friends works, as well as
bulk show/hide/delete. There are several template tags available as
well."
This is *almost* release 1.0, which supports:
* adding Friends
* multiple URIs per friend
* no XFN editor - just rel-me and rel-contact (though that's such a
recent change the the data model doesn't yet reflect it.)
Future releases will add support for importing via the Google SGAPI,
some nice Activity Streams integration, and eventually some
interesting OpenID whitelisting. ;-)
Mostly I'm writing this so that you guys will know what's up -- this
is NOT release code so please don't start blogging it quite yet. I
just needed to get it into the repo.
Cheers,
