There's been a lot of talk in and around DiSo of doing all
notifications through OAuth and checking against friends lists to
prevent SPAM. What about initial contact, though, pre-whitelist?
Every social network allows you to request that someone "friend" you
so that you may interact with them more (OK, twitter just sends you
notification that they're following you, and you can turn it off) -
are there thoughts about providing such a "I added you as a contact,
won't you do the same" mechanism that integrates right with adding a
new WP blogroll link ?
