Hi,

This is a letter to all of our house sitters and house owners. We hope that those of you who have had holidays or house sitters this year have been blessed by this ministry

I would like to thank all of you who prayed and wrote such uplifting messages last year when I was fighting for my life and having major surgery last December. I had to wait until February of this year to get the final results from my surgeon and it was great to hear him say that he was delighted that I was still here.

I felt that God must have a very special purpose for my life this year and he has give me a real burden for the orphans in Kenya, especially for the Home of Hope Orphanage and the Osara Orphanages which Christian Housesitters are sponsoring with £30 per month each. You can read all about that on our website.

I am writing a book about the two orphanages using true life stories from the children and the adults. We hope this will be finished in January and will be used by God to raise funds for these works.

A few weeks ago when I was praying I felt the Lord speaking to me about the Home of Hope Orphanage and Christmas. The only regular income they have is £50 per month which is the salary paid to Erick and the £30 per month from Christian House Sitters.

As result the children live on maize meal and when they can afford it beans. Pastor Josiah and Erick often have two clean toilets in the neighbouring town in order to bring in enough money to feed the children.

I would very much like to raise £300 (that is about £2.30 each for the 130 children and adults.) This would be used by them to buy meat, vegetables and fresh fruits so they can have a good Christmas and know that God really loves them.

I'm asking all our family to prayerfully consider making a gift this Christmas towards this amount in place of buying us any presents.

We also felt that if any members of Christian housesitters are able to contribute that would be wonderful. Please will you pray about this and if you feel that God wants to give towards this we are only asking for a gift of £5 or £10 which can be paid for through PayPal.

We will let you know what the money has been spent on as we always get receipts. I know that Erick, the administrator, is concerned about Christmas for the children. He himself is only 22 years old, an ex street child and an amazing young man of God.
