God of new beginnings

O God of new beginnings
who brings light out of night's darkness
and fresh green out the hard winter earth,
there is a barren land between us as people and as nations this day,
there are empty stretches of soul within us.
Give us eyes to see new dawnings of promise.
Give us ears to hear fresh soundings of birth.

A delightful Community service led by Chris J and Susan. Chris'
distilling of the texts for the day was very helpful and illuminating
for me, and he and Susan held the sacred time and space together
beautifully. The choir of just four voices sounded superb, blending
well to create a whole that was so much more than its parts.

Marie Thompson said she spoke with the workmen when she was watering
and they said how much they loved doing it and had done a catholic
rectory before. One also said each time he placed a brick he said a
prayer. Isn't that great! X CC

Thank you for sharing your journey.

There's another song you could share with the children that my girls
loved "This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice an be
glad in it" (from Psalm 118:24 of course)

and I have to share this...sometimes there is the "floodgates of heaven"

I want to acknowledge the work currently being done by Chris Jamieson with
the wardens as the east end progresses.... most in the discussion group and
more in the church will not be aware of the emails, meetings and discussions
that are taking place "behind the scenes".......
That so much is being done, with me away, is ........................
