Hello from beautiful Durban,
This is a stunning place.....the sun is shining, the birds are singing, the air is cool and fresh on the morning walk with my Dad at 5.30am........the sky and the sea are a magnificent blue..........................if you can close your eyes to the teaming mass of poverty and incessant crime around us, this would be paradise............
The last day of the year.  I have a fabulous night ahead................a progressive dinner with twelve octogenarians, shuffling between their houses in the retirement village from 6pm until about 9 I reckon, when they'll all go off to bed and I'll watch BBC TV until midnight..........thinking of you all and pondering what 2010 will mean for me and for us...........
I am endeavouring to be fully present here for my parents, living their lives with them for two weeks and trying to make up for all the times when I'm not here............

My wish for the New Year...........

2010............ 2010
May this be the year
when
Peace will be near
Joy will appear
Hope will be here
&
Love defeats fear..............

Hi Kim
Hope you enjoy your progressive shuffle. Remember not to drink and
shuffle and that your BAC needs to be lower than 0.05 or you will be
suspended from shuffling for three months.
We are all going to party in your house tonight. We'll be thinking of
you as we spiral down the bannister of your spiral staircase and trash
your enormous u-beaut stove, go skinny dipping in your water feature
(those of us who haven't gained too much weight over Christmas.)
