Some have stated that shortage of electricity demands nuclear energy programs and that safety problems be addressed to the full satisfaction of all in a transparent manner. Why should it be foisted on people in a biased manner- some states in India have banned it and some nations have banned it or phasing it out. And Fukushima occurred and will continue spewing increasing quantities of all sorts of radionuclides for the next 250000 years to millions of years. Some want to leave the question to "experts". The people therefore are genuinely concerned looking not only in the neighborhood of Fukushima but also thousands of kilometers away because of global weather and climate and environment.Biological reconcentration of Fukushima radiation is a matter of extinction of life itself.It is not that serious questions were not raised before but only now it is cropping up. The corrupt government's attitude has also been let the sleeping dogs lie while we enrich ourselves even at the cost of life itself. Because it is perfect murder no one can say with certainty that a particular death was due to radiation.Thus it is absolutely proper to halt all nuclear power plants,operating or under construction or having completed hot run.Pause! What should be a wise policy? A wise policy takes note of dynamic changes to the earth's environment due to modern civilization's cumulative effects.Mahatma Gandhi was prophetic in his vision that given enough time modern civilization will destroy itself. He said it in 1908. Now the cumulative effects of modern civilization are being felt in our day to day lives in the form of man-made natural disasters. Just a decade after Mahatma Gandhi's vision of the future of modern civilization(mc), the flu pandemic struck worldwide- the cumulative effects of World War I , dams being the most probable cause. Modern civilization is based on imperfect knowledge which takes the separate existences as true and having no cumulative effects on the dynamics of the behavior of the earth with time. Thus the energy audit of a nuclear power programme is disregarded and the economics of nuclear power are calculated on the basis of the performance of a single nuclear reactor( to be continued). Stupidity of the specialists or corruption or both is accelerating frenetically the frequency of man-made disasters by the blind supply side build up of electricity plants. As the nuclear generating capacity increases so does the nuclear industry demand for power and society only supplies more energy of all kinds to the nuclear program getting no power for it's own legitimate needs year after year!
