Re: 1000 killed in Turkey Earthquake, http://www.deccanherald.com/content/200001/up-1000-feared-dead-turkey.html
Van in Turkey after the quake is being threatened by a possible dam break.
In the wake of the Fukushima extinction level catastrophe, note that the Fukushima great earthquake was 154 km from Fukushima Daichi nuclear park,
Reactors operational are 1 of 460 MWe (Unit 1 damaged);
4 of 784 MWe (Units 2, 3, and 4 damaged; Unit 5 experiencing cooling problems);1 of 1,100 MWe (Unit 6 experiencing cooling problems).
The nuclear plant at Metsamor in Yeravan in Armenia is 182 km from the Van earthquake and capacity details are:
Armenia-1 VVER-440 Model V230,net output 376 MW,gross output 408 MW, start 01.01.1973,first criticality06.10.1979,Shut down on 25.02.1989 for decommissioning.
Armenia-2 VVER-440 Model V230,376 MW,408 MW,01.07.1975 ,03.05.1980,operated till 1988,closed down after earthquake of 1988, started again 1995.
These are considered most dangerous and possess no containment.
People would like to know what detailed tests are being conducted to determine
the safety status of these. IAEA has lost all credibility with the people because
of an agreement with WHO to suppress information on nuclear radiation dangers. They are building a 1000 MW reactor there with Russian help.
Abandon nuclear reactors.
