I made a mistake yesterday and shutdown Windows XP without exiting FreeDV.

Now when I try to start FreeDV it get an error. I presume I have a
corrupted file or folder that I need to delete. I just don't know where to
look.

I have attached a screencap of the error I am getting.

Thanks,
Stuart

Stuart,
I have heard of this happening, but never experienced it (yet). Well,
pretty sure if you follow the info in "GOTHAS" at freedv.org it will clear
the problem. Dave KD0EAG may have a better solution. I have shut down
FreeDV (XP OS also) many times -without- this happening, but PCs configured
different so don't know what the cause may be.

Look here under "Gotchas". You need to go into registry and clear out
some preferences.

Thank you and Mel for the responses. I forgot all about the gotchas section
of the website.
