Hi,

Need some help with date ranges.  This query does return records, but not in the range or volume if using the search function on the homepage.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for your question. Two things.

1) The syntax in the query above is not quite right. At the moment the DigitalNZ API can only perform date range queries at the level of years. To perform a search of all records between 1901 use the folowing syntax: 

http://api.digitalnz.org/records.json?api_key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx&and[year]=[1901%20TO%201920]
I am adding this example to the DigitalNZ API documentation.


2) Most records within the Alexander Turnbull Library are not available through the public API at this point. We are hoping this will change in the future and we are trying to make this happen with the Turnbull staff. We'll keep in touch about this.

More help!

The file attached has my script to display a google map and search box with autocomplete where the user can type in a surname.  Using Google Fusion Tables. 

Col0 is the list of surnames to query. Col12 is the Location of where the solider's War Grave is.

Any obvious suggestions to make it run?

It would be helpful if you could provide some indication what the error message you are receiving. How is your application failing?

Perhaps you could put it up as a http://jsfiddle.net/ script so we can see what is going on for ourselves. That would be incredibly helpful for working out what is going on.

Then have got stuck adding the autocomplete function by copying and then tweaking code from this sample:

Hi Jeremy,

Apologies for the delay. I was on leave when this arrived and it took me a while to unpick.

There were a few issues with your code. The main thing is that you didn't seem to be loading the Google visualisation library, but there were a few other issues in your code.
