Hi,

Wanted to check my understanding of the RSS part of Custom Searches.  Is the standard output limited to 20 records?

Have been trying to build a geo map by creating the RSS and then copied an existing Pipe to result in:

Thanks for any advice.

Hi Jeremy,

By default results are limited to 20 records. However, you can increase the number of records in results as well as the page of results that you are viewing.

Using the version 3 of the API, you can use the per_page parameter to get up to 100 records at a time and the page parameter to iterate through pages.

Hi Jeremy,

I'm more familiar with content/metadata rather than the tech side of things. So the tech folk may prove me wrong. But, I've had a quick look and I suspect it is because none of the results for Ypres have geo coordinates in their metadata.

Cheers

Hi Fi and Jeremy,

I took a look and it's a slightly different issue than the lack of geo-coordinates on records, but I need to be at the office to work through it. I will resolve this on Monday.

All the best,
Chris

Thanks both.  Have used a series of different queries to look at the records that come back.  Can wash the metadata through Google Geocoding and with some changes to the data, put it onto a map - which is the outcome I wanted.

Chris, interested to know what you find.

Hi Jeremy,

Okay. There is a small bug in the version 3 API around geo which is causing the problem. I am getting it fixed. I will post here when it is sorted with an example API call. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Chris
