Mix and Mash 2011

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say howdy (I'm Texan, I can't help it) and let you all
know I'll be managing promotions around this year's Mix and Mash
competition. The competition will be launched on Thursday 4 August at
the Orcon Great Blend in Auckland (there are still spaces left I
think: http://publicaddress.net/OGB2011/). The comp will run until 15
September.

Nominations are currently open for a new award this year: the Best
Mash-up...so far award for best NZ mash-up that's already out there,
as voted by the public. Noms close on 29 July, voting opens on 4
August and closes with the rest of the competition on 15 September.

Not only am I hoping you'll all enter the competition (not you Andy!),
but I also hope you'll embrace the concept of healthy competition and
encourage your NZ developer friends to enter as well!
