I'm Leslie Johnston. I'm the Chief of Repository Development at the
Library of Congress. I've also worked at UVA, Harvard, Stanford, and
the Getty.

I oversee a group that develops repository tools and infrastructure,
and work closely with the National Digital Information Infrastructure
and Preservation Program (NDIIPP).

I'm interested in community building, documenting best practices,
digital preservation tools, and developing and sustaining open source
tools for repository functions.

Hi,

I’m Randy Stern and I manage systems development projects at the Harvard University Library.

My group develops software for many digital curation systems, including Harvard’s Digital Repository Service, Web Archiving Service, Geospatial Library and Electronic Archiving Service  (in development now for processing curated email collections). As part of these projects, we are re-using various open source tools and also contributing tools such as FITS and OTS-Schemas back to the community.

I’m interested in digital repositories and curation environments, digital libraries, micro-services, open source communities and supporting the many interesting innovative projects being conceived as part of the Harvard Library Lab.

Hi Everyone,

I'm more of a lurker than a participant in this list but thought I would let you know who I am. I'm Michele Reilly and I am the Head of Digital Services at the University of Houston Libraries. My interests are in data management, digital preservation and copyright and it's impact of digital libraries.

See you around,
Michele

You see, I don't believe that libraries should be drab places where people sit in silence, and that's been the main reason for our policy of employing wild animals as librarians.
