The images endpoint includes private and "requires login" photos -
which seems kind of silly since there is no way to authenticate in the
API, and therefore no way to actually retrieve them via the AP (other
than the thumbnail). It would be nice if there was at least some way
to determine which images are not accessible.

Also the examples on the "List Media" and "List Containers" pages in
the wiki are transposed - the example on the "List Media" page gets
containers, and vice-versa.

Thanks for pointing that out. Until we have oAuth, I think it would
make sense to omit those from the response altogether, since the
description also is hidden to anonymous visitors.

Thanks again. Fixed.

Except that the thumbnails are currently publicly accessible
and might be of interest to people - I'm not sure of the privacy
issues.

Hmmm... Then perhaps an attribute that indicates the visibility to
anonymous visitors.

Which was my first thought. If exposing thumbnails of private photos
isn't
considered a bad thing.

Something on a similar note - I built a user gallery that picks up
users thumbnails, but occasionally you click on a thumbnail to jump to
the users profile and the profile is private so none of the photos are
viewable. It would be great to have a way of filtering out the private
profiles.

That's live now. The <galleryphoto> element has a new attribute,
public="1" if the image is accessible without login, or public="0" if not.

I'm working on adding this to the examples at apidoc.digg.com.
