I fixed this by changing my mysql configuration...
Regarding the ticket #7119 comments, I agree it has to be done with
Doctrine.
We just have to wait for the patch to be applied to symfony/lib/
plugins/sfDoctrinePlugin/lib/database/sfDoctrineDatabase.class.php.
