A small follow-up to the park post

Thinking more about that morning in the park, what stood out wasn’t any particular insight—it was how perception changed once everything became quiet.

When the usual mental commentary slowed down, the scene didn’t feel like me observing the park. Sounds, birds, wind, even thoughts seemed to appear together in the same field.

It made me wonder whether the shift from belief to direct experience might sometimes be very simple: the system settling down enough that we stop interpreting everything.

In that quiet, it didn’t feel mystical at all. It felt natural—almost like falling back into the same rhythm as the environment.

I’m curious if anyone else has noticed moments when observation becomes that simple
