Can I create a Page in Diaspora?

Can I create pages in Diaspora and add content that I want as I do on a CMS?

Hey Alex,

You can create an account and a profile, which can be customized to some limits with Markdown. Other than this - no, Diaspora is not a CMS so it will never likely have features like that. If you just want to post stuff in the name of a project or company then it works just like many other social networks do :)

Thanks for answering this question!  Let me see if I understand this correctly.

I will not be able to create a page - even manually and then pushed - about, for example, chocolate types.  Create a URL that would be like:  mysocialnetworkpod.com/ChocolateTypes and have people follow that page?

I see for example, that there is a spotlight community page, there is a welcome page so I should be able to create pages, right?

You can manually create those pages as html static pages in public directory.
