At "http://github.com/diaspora/diaspora/tree/master/config/locales"
are the localization files. To translate the "en.yml" I don't need to
get Diaspora running at this current version. So, how can someone
upload new "locales"?

It's my first big project, so please be considerate ;)

Hi!

That's easy (if you're used to git):

1. Sign up at github
2. Fork the diaspora repository
3. Clone it to your local harddrive
4. Commit it and push it to github
5. Issue a pull request there (the diaspora people get a request that
says "hey, please take my patches...")

Hi,

there is already a german translation which waits for approval:

Since I also wrote a German translation, I'd like to point out that we
should provide an informal (Du) and formal (Sie) one to allow for
greater flexibility in the places Diaspora can be used.
I wrote the formal one: http://github.com/diaspora/diaspora/pull/240

Now we just have to figure out how to call the files :)

At the momemt I know only how to comment a commit of an other user.
But it's possible to change his code directly, that still is a commit,
so that he can click "ok" to took my changes or "denied" to don't took
my code?

Maybe this helps you:

- go to a commit like http://github.com/felgru/diaspora/commit/c940955261b54d877ae8ec52dcba7e7dd54d944f
- "fork"
- "switch branches" -> select the branch where the change was commited
- navigate to the file you want to change and click on its name
- "edit", make your changes and commit them
- "pull request" ("Change Commits" to adjust the commits and the
target branch)

Until now everyone commented in favor of a casual + a formal
translation. So I created a branch where I joined the work done yet.

Source branches:

* http://github.com/maelsoucaze/diaspora (french translation)
* http://github.com/michael-k/diaspora/tree/de (german translation)

Joined: http://github.com/michael-k/diaspora/tree/casual+formal

*Please support* the pull request at http://github.com/diaspora/diaspora/pull/306
its the related issue http://github.com/diaspora/diaspora/issues/issue/306
. Thanks!

*Thanks to everyone who contributed!*

As stated in my commit message
http://github.com/michael-k/diaspora/commit/5bc39a1517d133481092a4c4820d0a9e8a38b28c
, I wasn't capable of saving the original commits. I'm sorry and hope
no one dislikes that too much...
