Subject: Hashtag propagation to other pods

I've been running diaspora for a few days.  The thing that I'm very much
not liking about it is topics propagating to other pods.  If you subscribe
to a topic you'll see all the (public) posts on your pod about it, but
people on other pods won't see it unless you're pushing to someone on the
other pod.  I think they have to be following the hash as well, but I'm not
positive about that.

I have what I think is a good idea to fix this problem.  I'm learning ruby
on rails and then I'm thinking of doing something.  Is this perceived as a
problem by others than me?  Is there any interest in discussing a fix for
it?

Jay
