A friend showed me Pepakura files.  Making Halo, Iron Man and other helmets out of paper then making a actual helmets from it.  Here's a link shows the paper cut outs, then assembled then filled in with bondo.

You can google "pepakura files"

I thinking I will use this to make a face module for my modular robot.

No Pepakura software in Linux though.  Unless someone can tell me.

No support for Linux, however if you get me a 3d model of what you want I could unfold and send you the print out as a pdf

I tried Pepakura under Wine a while back.  It only partially worked, so I wouldn't waste your time trying that.
