"Patient Zero is a virtual pandemic simulator where you get to infect
real players. Infections get transferred by players coming within
proximity of each other in the real world. Players infected with your
virus will carry it and infect more players. See how quickly your unique
virus spreads! "

Install it! I've only managed one infection so far in the valley.

I'm game. It's installed on both of my phones now and I'll post a
Facebook link to suck in some more people.

Cool. You get to name your diseases.

InsideOutitis - Turns you inside out, twice. Extremely painful, yet
mostly harmless. Terrible if it happens at the beach, the sand never
comes out of your brain. 0.01% percent of the infected only turn
inside out once.

I wish you could create more than one virus….

I would have picked a different type.

Try to un-install, re-install app. im sure it will let you! Or clear the app data from the program screen.

I have bertramt and makebit

Does anybody else's phones get really hot and bad battery life while
running the app?

According to the message in tje appstore, they are doing server upgrades which is why I'm getting the network error

Yep. One phone literally can't charge faster than the battery drains if
the app is running and the screen is set to stay on.

yes, it did allow me to connect... however, I'm confused at the rate of infection speed.

The UI visually shows that 8 or 10 ppl are within my cold virus range, however no infection was occurring...    I must have breezed through the initial help screens.  Did it explain rate of infection?

I would have thought that if a person was in range of you, that you would infect them -- assuming that they had a carrier spot open.

I estimate the Paul would be able to bang out a clone of this app in a day!!  :)  :)

I'd like to see more realtime feedback somehow...

I love some of the suggestions in the comment log of the app in the MarketPlace... Some really clever ideas --  mutations, etc.  I think it would be interesting to allow some sort of synergistic relationship with virii that attempt to vi for control in placement in one of the open carrier slots...

Or maybe some sort of petri dish environment where you could combine characteristics of the virus's that you have in your carrier list that could potentially result in a more virulent strain...

And yes... this app just sucks the power on my Motorola Droid 1

Each player only has six carrier slots. Most are likely full at the moment. That is until their carried virii expire.

That makes sense...  but all the more reason for the realtime feedback to me as the gamer...  I just see nothing happening on my view of the world...  but of course, I'm sure that things will improve!

Me too.  I created a virus that no one has contracted.  It's Librevirus - The uncontrollable urge to use GPL and Creative Commons software and media.
