Okay it is an interesting subject...
I bought the audiobook from audible, I even bought a monthly
subsciption, so I should have more books to listen to.
Hawkins has devoted his book to making the simple obvious.
Then he waffles horribly and my mind disengages after about 5 minutes.

An arbitary logarithmic scale of whole numbers emerges etc.
Right, simple and obvious.
So the scale isn't linear.
Most non-scientists will get that right.

I do get this is a new way of looking at human experience.
A new paradigm in oxymoronic paradox?

I am not sure,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I'd suggest two Hawkins books for you.

Power Vs Force.
Truth Vs Falsehood.

The first has lots of his theory, and applies it to different subject matters.
The second, is a great way to get TONS of reference points.

His work has two primary values to me.

1. To get us over "either / or" thinking. Even though both titles
are "either / or", he shares a scale that represents levels of "truth"
or "power".

2. Helping people "get" the kineseological test in perspective. And
our "opinions" too. It's way too easy to get "false positives" and
"false negatives" with the test, when the ego is threatened, and those
books are great to help ferret out the threatened ego.

Another value is really getting where people on the different levels
are coming from. I fully expect folks who are dedicated to the level
of REASON to behave a specifc way, to have a specific view of god, of
me, of life etc.

And I expect folks who are dedicated to other levels like LOVE or FEAR
to respond in their predictable ways.

And when they "step out" of the level they live most of their life at,
that's where the fun and potential begins.

Have Fun!

My take:

If I remember correctly, Hawkins (TT, when you said DH it worried me
there for just a split second; "DH" = "dear hubby" in computer forum
talk, and I know you don't have one of those) took an old concept and
expounded it. Cool.

First, a Hawkins summary: http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message966819/pg1
A critique: http://www.energygrid.com/spirit/2005/02ap-dowsinggod.html

Based on just that, I agree with some of both. They are both
insightful and balancing, and both have major problems.

The critique brings up some good points to consider, and could be
expounded upon, especially where Avatars and truth collide (it's
evident--or isn't it?--that when avatars rate as avatars yet speak
some very basic differing "truths", there are some huge problems...).
(By the way, first-rate kinesiology would check first for a few
problems with the testee.)
On the other hand, the writer seems to believe that relativism is God,
and absolutes are horrible. And unfortunately, many of the supporting
links point to organizations/ people that have shown in the past to
be, shall we say, "below the 200 level".)

Notwithstanding the good points in opposition to his work, Hawkins has
some very useful points.

I'll look for the "source", which I believe actually has more
interesting points.
