There's a new restaurant out at Grapevine Mills Mall - the Jekyl & Hyde
Club. It's another "theme" restaurant/bar; the theme is "horror",
albeit the PG flavor (the talking gargoyle over the entrance gives it
away, as well as the "hidden door behind the fireplace" as the doorway
to the main dining area).

It's interesting, kinda campy but fun. They have live characters such
as vampires, werewolves, mad scientists, etc. running around the place,
along with some really amazing interactive puppets that come to life
and interact with people at the weirdest moments. There's different
rooms like "The Mad Scientist's Lab", etc. Might be a place to go out
to eat that's fun and a little different. I'm told that the food's
really good, but the strawberry cheesecake mousse is utterly "to die
for". Check it out and see if you agree.

Went there last night. It was a Monday, so there was no wait, but I would
expect huge lines on the weekends. They have a wait-station in the middle
of the mall corridor with velvet ropes that suggests that the lines get
long.

Anyhow, it is kinda cheesy, but it was fun. Lots of stuff moves around and
talks. It would be most exciting for kids that have outgrown
Chuck-E-Cheese, but it was fun even for the adults that were there.
Different characters come by the table and occasionally there are little
"shows" on the stage, lightning storms, etc.

The food is nothing too unusual, but everything looked decent. Maybe
similar to Dave and Busters. We just had some pasta and a pizza, which were
good. The meatloaf sounded good, but I wasn't terribly hungry.

I haven't eaten there yet. I've eaten at the Rain Forest Cafe and the
Wilderness cafe. To me it seems as if once these restaurants opened,
everyone flooded in to try it out. Then they realized that the food wasn't
worth the amount of money that they ask for. I wasn't impressed at all with
the above two restaurants. Logans isn't good either, which is a new place
in Grapevine.

I kinda have to disagree about Logan's. It's not gourmet food, but good for
what you'd expect from a "roadhouse". The chicken-fried ribeye was quite
good, and my father said his steak was pretty good - and inexpensive, too.

A relative got a sweet baked potato and a salad, which were both a
disappointment. The sweet potato was so tiny and the salad wasn't large
either. When they brought my hamburger out, it was burnt. The guy looked
at it after I commented on it and said that it was burnt and they cooked me
another one. They also forgot to leave off the tomato, which I asked them
to cut and they didn't bring my mayonnaise, which I asked them to bring. I
guess I just had a bad experience.
