recently. When the attempt was made on Reagen in March 1991, after
watching hours of Dan Rather news coverage, I went through the
drive-thru at Burger King and got Chicken sandwiches. When the first
shuttle exploded in 1986, I went to lunch at Pancho's that day. For
whatever reason, I was so stunned by 9/11 that I can't recall where I
ate that day (I bet many of you can though) but I distinctly remember
being in the drive-thru of McDonald's and hearing on my car radio the
KRLD news announcemnent on 12/9/01 when we had finally started invading
and bombing Afghanistan (which I wondered at the time why it had taken
us so long)..

watching the first batches of shock and awe bombs falling. I can't
think of any other significant ones at the moment.

I was at a group gathering at Humperdink's up on 75 and Collins in
Richardson when the bombing of Afghanistan started coming down, and I
remember we were all a bit shocked by it.
I didn't go out all day on 9-11, so where I ate was at home. And I was in
the lunch room at work for Proxy Answering Services when the Morrow building
went up in OKC.
The other one that comes to mind was going to this new restaurant right
after seeing Star Wars for the first time, located on Meadow Road at
Greenville, called Chili's. (The ony location at the time)

I am afraid I am to blame for this diaper stain in the newsgroup - he's
