The past few years we just haven't been thrilled with the idea of
putting on a big production, or going to someone else's big
production. We've tried The Old Warsaw and Chamberlain's, and
while both were great we'd like to do something different this
year. Nice, but maybe not quite as upscale.

Any suggestions for the North Dallas-McKinney corridor?

Thanks!

My wifes family had this tradition of going to Luby's. We did it with them
one year after we got married. I guess it wasnt horrible, but Im not sure
the atmosphere is what youre looking for ;)

Surely somebody has some ideas, no?

I am sure most every chain out there will have some type of deal. Swan
Court moved to Plano maybe they have something going on. But turkey dinner
is turkey dinner. Guess it comes down to price and atmosphere. But maybe
some Cajun places have something going on like Ralph and kakoos or there is
a Nate's in Allen and of course Addison. That might be different. Hell
Lubys would be the easiest, best value, and if you like you can order the
dinner and bring it home. I notice they have fried turnkey packs and also
prime rib take home packs. Of course they are open if you want to eat
there.

I think we'll probably go to MasterGrill in Firewheel in Garland.
They also have a location in Frisco.

I've been to MasterGrill several times. I don't think it's quite as
good as Fogo de Chao, but for me, it's much closer. It's also much
less expensive.

Mastergrill in Frisco has Thanksgiving for 30% off, so I think that'd
make it around $20 a person. Note - their salad bar has taken a SERIOUS
dive, no mozzarella, no roasted peppers, no mushrooms, a real let down
last two times. They do normally have the best bread of any of the
Brazilian steakhouses though.

Rafain, which is a step up from Mastergrill, has Thanksgiving for $27 a
person, and includes desserts from their dessert bar.

Both will have turkey, which they normally don't have.

I don't think Mastergrill Frisco has alot of time left. When you start
pulling things off the menu to save money, the end is near...
