Proposal: DevOps Days Chicago?

The 2nd Annual ALM Chicago was held over the past couple of days and It has gotten me to think about the possibility of holding a Chicago DevOps days the weekend after the conference next year. I know it's a long way off but it would be good to see if there is a critical mass of people willing to get something like this off the ground in 2014.

Hi,

You actually are reading my mind because a few weeks ago, I had the same idea. I emailed the DevOps Days organizers about it and got their feedback. I was going to email about the event in the next day or so. I am planning on organizing DevOps Days Chicago this fall. Probably around October or November. If anyone would like to stay informed or help out organizing please feel free to join the organizing google group[1]. I will be sure to be sending more updates when things are figured out.

Note there's a puppetcamp coming up in Chicago March 13, there are still some spaces to talk; at a minimum you might find like-minded folks by doing an announcement there.

I Just joined kevin's group. I'd encourage those interested to do so as well. Lets see if we can get a critical mass together.

If anyone is serious about doing this, please send an email to
in...@devopsdays.org and we can hook you up with the tools we use to
organize them. Fair warning it's A LOT of work but you'll have support
from the core organizers but we rely on local folks to do the scoping
and such.
