spam messages on the list

Dear all,

It has been brought to my attention (thanks Dr. Bart Kaptein!) that
there were recently a number of spam messages on this list. My local
spam filter apparently got rid of the messages, so I was not aware of
the issue, hence the fact that I'm responding only now. The spammer
in question has since been banned from google groups.

In addition, I have configured the group so that first list message by
a new member has to be moderated (further messages not). This should
prevent spammers from bugging us again, at least on this list. :)
