Is it possible to make the final product less red?

i convert a lot of avis to a format my video player will play which
requires creating the two directories: one for audio and the other
for the video files. The program works really well and i've been
using it now for several years but on some of the converted movies the
result is somewhat redder than the original.

Is there any tweaking i can do before beginning the conversion?
