ffmpeg use the command threads 8 when DEVEDE is runing, but it only
use 30-40% of the CPU, why? is a devede problem?

That's a problem with FFMpeg, which can't take advantage of so many cores.

My system have 3 cores, In command line I've tried the following
command:

$ avconv -threads 6 -i <input> <output>

So making 2 threads per core and the usage of the CPU went from
around 30% to around 70%. But the job took exactly the same time so I
went back to

$ avconv -threads 6 -i <input> <output>

*avconv is the new ffmpeg in Debian.

cheers,

Yes, and I want to add support for it in Devede. Does someone know the
differences between both (about command line parameters, of course).

They are very very similar. The one thing I can think of right now is

-ab now spells -b:a (audio bitrate)
-b is -b:v (video bitrate)
