Firefox 4 coming out

That is somewhat sooner than I expected.
Even though I may be able to get things hacked together by that date I
am going away March 24 to 28 and don't really want to push a release
without being available after. I would also not be done with the
refactoring.
Given that there will not be a FF4 compatible release of the Companion
Extension by the time FF4 launches I am contemplating pushing the
release to mid April to mostly complete the refactoring and new UI.
Is there anybody who *MUST* upgrade to FF4 or would it be reasonable to
wait? I am not saying that I may be able to meet the March 22nd deadline
but am sensitive to user's needs and wish to be informed.
I personally will not be upgrading to FF4 for a few weeks in case of
issues that were not found during QA that need to be fixed with a
post-launch minor release.

before upgrading, but I would keep a virtual or standalone machine
around with Firefox2 if I had to just to keep benefiting from what
FirePHP and the Companion have to offer. Come to think of it, I do
exactly that for IE6 just to debug nonsense still and will up until
sometime closer to 2014... Anyhow, it is better to not rush things...

I've been running the Firefox 4 betas for a while and and do all my
development in Firefox 4. It's not a must but it would really nice to

internal refactoring and migrating to jetpack since starting this
thread.
Things have taken longer but I am making good progress and expect a
release very soon.
