Free Java Moss (w/possible baby ram horn snail stowaways)
Hey guys, I have free abundant and healthy Java Moss sitting outside my home for free to good aquariums that don't mind a stowaway or two... (baby rams horn snails). One collection of moss is actually a carpet pulled off a large log in my aquarium. First come first serve, you'll find this sitting inside a red retired Examiner newstand box, right in front of Covet jewelry store on the corner of Arguello and Clement. I'll post once the collection has been fully taken. The java carpet is in the pitcher, and the rest is sitting in a tupper ware. Feel free to pick and choose.... more »

Fragging corals in-tank?
I was wondering if there's any technique to fragging corals in tank? I have a couple beauties that are going to be interfering in the not too distant future but can't take the rock out. Eric

[no subject]
Hello! Does anyone know how to fix a Jebo hood? I think there is a short, so one of the switch doesn't lock in on/off position anymore so the light is always on. The hood has 3 lights/switches and the other two are still working fine. However, the short is now causing plastic casing to melt and smells like smoke.... more »

Question from a fellow hobbyist
Hello, Does anyone know a good solution for this? All I know is that orange stuff they sell, but not sure if those are fish tank safe. I've cc'd Doug so he can subscribe to the lists himself. ...Thank you! Best regards, Kieve

Amazon trip - any recommendations?
Hello everyone, I've always wanted to go on an expedition cruise on the Amazon. I'm in the very early stages of planning such a trip and would love to receive any input you may have. I'd most like to see/do the following: - Snorkel or dive to see discus, cardinal tetras, pacus, arowanas, and arapaimas in the wild... more »

Free to a good home
Hi guys, I am trying to cut down the number of tanks I'm keeping and I'm going on vacation on Nov. 2nd so I will be unable to attend the next SFAS meeting. If any of you would like to try keeping some interestingly odd fish, I have a large 4" female Nomorhamphus ebrardtii, "red fin halfbeak", and three 1" fry. Halfbeaks are livebearers like you've probably never kept. Here is a good overview: [link]... more »
