Hello! Does anyone know how to fix a Jebo hood? I think there is a short, so one of the switch doesn't lock in on/off position anymore so the light is always on. The hood has 3 lights/switches and the other two are still working fine. However, the short is now causing plastic casing to melt and smells like smoke.... more »

Hi guys, I am trying to cut down the number of tanks I'm keeping and I'm going on vacation on Nov. 2nd so I will be unable to attend the next SFAS meeting. If any of you would like to try keeping some interestingly odd fish, I have a large 4" female Nomorhamphus ebrardtii, "red fin halfbeak", and three 1" fry. So yesterday I come home to find my apartment smelling slightly of something burning and my metal halide lights are not on. Upon further inspection I find that the power cord had melted the timer it was plugged into and the on/off switch on the ballast is permanently stuck in the on position. I removed the timer and plugged the cord into a power strip and it still works but the cord gets hot after about 5 minutes so I'm afraid to use it anymore.
