I'll post once the collection has been fully taken. The java carpet is in the pitcher, and the rest is sitting in a tupper ware. Feel free to pick and choose.

I was wondering if there's any technique to fragging corals in tank? I
have a couple beauties that are going to be interfering in the not too
distant future but can't take the rock out.

Eric

I've seen some, I'm not yet impressed, lots of hoopla, not much as far as aesthetics, look ugly still. Some DIY folks have done okay/well.
But as far as watt per unit PAR for planted tanks, I've actually got a light PAR meter, and both a LiCOR and Apogee, so I know what/have actually tested and measured this stuff much more than I care to expand on........the T5 lights from Tek are really good.

Due to the high cost of electricity and the number of tanks I'm keeping,
I had to really limit the use of high powered lights on my plant tanks
awhile back. Low light plants like Java fern, moss, and Anubias are ok
with me for now, but I miss having the variety and color available with
more light demanding plants.

Any landscape places that sell rock usually have a large assortment of
rock, and are excellent sources for decorative rock as well.

Garden supply stores. Do you want it for the Ca or to raise pH? Gypsum will supply the calcium w/o raising pH. When I was young in Illinois, the gravel that was produced locally and used for making concrete and on roads and driveways was mostly limestone.

To: detritus@googlegroups.com

If you are looking for loose aggregate, you may want to try Broadmoor
