Subject: Question from a fellow hobbyist
Hello,

Does anyone know a good solution for this? All I know is that orange stuff they sell, but not sure if those are fish tank safe.

I've cc'd Doug so he can subscribe to the lists himself.

Thank you!

How about a good ol' razor blade?  Also does a great job on algae, BTW.

Windex can be used as well. The trick is to let it sit for 3 minutes after dousing the adhesive with it. Nail polish remover should not be used on acrylic, as it will eat away at the plastic. Since this adhesive sits on the outside, not the inside, I think you are alright in doing what you can to take it off.

I wouldn't use a blade on plexi. Glass is fine, but any softer material
would get scratched.

Johnson & Johnson baby oil works well too.  Rubbing alcohol runs off and
drys a bit too fast.  Baby oil will sit on the adhesive and slowly
dissolve it as the oil will not evaporate. You can also rub it gently
with your fingers to speed up the process.  It's also not toxic.

I just can't figure out how they squeeze oil out of babies....
