What is the webinar schedule? September is almost half over. I am
quite interested and want to keep my schedule clear for the webinars.

Eugene,

Thanks for your patience. We have been waiting for the release of v51
before starting these. V51 will be in the porting process next week.
Once the ports are complete, we will release the webinar schedule.

We are finalizing the release this week and it will be on the web site
next week. After which, we will finalize the webinar schedule.

Rick,
I have not installed the demo, but from the looks of the PDF files it
looks pretty simple to setup and configure. I'll have to schedule a
few days right after the webinar to learn the software. I see alot of
potension in my neck of the woods.

Rick,

You might want to update the information on the top section of the
group where it talks about the webinars starting in September.

Rick,
Can the evaluation of 5.1 be downloaded now?

My normal schedule is pretty hectic. But during Christmas and New
Years it's very easy. This would be a perfect time for me to
concentrate on the software.

Thanks,
-Peter G.

There are two kinds of webinars that seem to be requested here.

First, there is a webinar of things to come, or already in some
new release. This may not come for months simply because the
software isn't ready. That's fine.

Second, and what I think people are asking for, there is a
webinar for software that people already have, whether licensed
or for evaluation, so that they can get a better understanding of
how to use it. C'mon, from what I see it's been well over a year
since the last release, maybe it's time to give people the
information they need to use the software that's available.

I think DBI should stop stringing people along with ever-changing
expectations. Better, DBI would do well to take advantage of the
community interest, and organize a webinar very quickly for those
who are willing to spend some part of their holiday working with
the software. It doesn't make sense to make people wait when
they want to learn how to use the software now. Seriously, it's
been "next week" or "next month" for several months now. (This
is one of the main reasons why I no longer support this
software). Don't flush away the interest that has been generated
through marketing and sales efforts by keeping information from
the people who want and need it the most.

That's just my 2 devaluated cents in a poor economy where paying
customers are (or should be) even more precious than they used to
be.

We have been very remiss in the lack of communication regarding our
webinar schedule.

We will commence our webinar series on Januray 12th 2010.

The schedule will be published next week.

Release 5.13 is being packed and will hit the website first week of
January.
We have had various beta and live sites testing over the last few
months and we are now ready for the release.

This will be the fifth major release in as many years and represents a
significant commitment to the multi-value community.
It is also the first stage of three major releases that will occur in
2010.

Whilst we are not always on-time, we do strive to ensure that we
release quality product and back it up with quality support.
Webinars are a resource intensive undertaking and at times have to be
delayed.

On the resource side, we have recently increased our numbers in
Australia by two with one more to start in January.

I attended a DesignBais class last week and was quite impressed.

This is the 5th Generation toolset I've been looking for since I first
used Update in Prime Information.

A web interface with no programming; drop-down boxes, product pictures
on data entry forms, reports available within a section of the
screen. Nice.

I'm looking forward to 5.13, but would rather have a solid release
than a quick one.

David,

I hope that the webinars will be recorded and made available on the
web site. That way, we can go back and review them as needed. I
think it would be very helpful to be able to go back and see the
details that I might have missed during the actual live webinar.

Thanks

We've heard the same statement for a couple years now. What's so
tough about doing a webinar? If you don't have time to do it
"live", what's so tough about just recording yourself for an hour
and then publishing the video? You do the same presentation with
the current software that you do in every sales presentation
you've given for the last year. It's not like you need to
prepare. It's not like the software has changed in the last
year.

I can start a webinar in a second and invite people - many people
in this forum know that I do this several times per day. You can
too.

Webinars aren't rocket science.
Do them early.
Do them often.
Just do them.
