I have a Flytec 6015, but can't seem to figure out how to set up software on a Mac (if this can be done at all). Anyone have expertise on this?

Jeff -

I don't think flychart is supported - but you can run gpsdump for the mac.  You'll need the flytec usb driver for MACs on their website and the mac edition of gpsdump.  It will allow you to download your tracks, upload waypoints, and other inspiring activities.  If you want to use flychart on your Mac you can try vmware and run windows in a window.  I could be dated.  I know Kim did some work on flytec/mac integration at one point and she could be a good resource.

Wsde,

Thanks for the input.  I have contacted Flytec, and there may be a way to do this, but the guy there was unsure about downloading the driver.

I don't know who Kim is, but if you could relay this, I would appreciate any additional input she could offer.

Thanks,

Jeff

Did you ever figure this out? I have a Flytec 6015 as well and can't download the software from flytec's website. Any help would be appreciated.

Bryan,
You might try giving Steve a call at Flytec.  He can be very handy.

You should probably switch to flymaster. I dig mine.

What do you need the software for?

I use GPSDump for Mac to upload/download points and tracks:

I have a 6030 which requires a Mac USB driver—there are several different version that you can download here:

Or a 3rd party one that I bought which works well here:

If you want to update the firmware or run Flychart (which is a pretty sucky app), they requires Windows.

I run Windows under vmWare on my Mac to do this.
