Hi,

Quick question. I'm evaluating derby.js for a potential project.

Is there any discussion or planning for an extensions API for derby.js? I'm thinking particularly about something similar to Ruby on Rails Engines, where an app can effectively be transported and mounted within another app.

Cheers,
Nicholas

Yes, we are planning on having extensions. However, our first priority is finishing all of the features needed to make an independent application. We still have some key features missing in this area, but after things get mature there will be more extensibility options.

You can already use multiple apps on the same server simply by adding each of their routers as express middleware.

Thanks Nate.

Yes, I did a little digging and remembered that middleware was handled by express and you could do something to add controllers/routers at that level.

Derby is looking promising. Good stuff!
