Location for RubyConf 2012

Hey All

The RubyCentral team has decided to host RubyConf 2012 in Denver this year! 

I am helping them with securing a location for the event. Looking for a centrally located hotel capable of hosting between 500 to 800 participants for 3 days in Oct - Nov (preferred dates : Thu-Sat Oct 25-27, Nov 1-3 & Nov 8-10). 

Let me know of any hotels that you think would be an appropriate location. 

In a few months time, we should get the whole community involved in this event organization - similar to what the Austin on Rails team is doing around the RailsConf organization : https://github.com/austinonrails/members/wiki/RailsConf-2012-Potential-Volunteers

Hey Prakash,

We held a ~2000 person conf. at the newer Hyatt downtown on 15th a few years ago and it was a fantastic venue. The really nice thing was that a few events had to spill over into smaller rooms in the bottom of the convention center which is just across the street. This gave some nice flexibility. The staff did a great job. I'm not sure about the $$$'s though (I didn't write the check). ;-)

Thanks Chris & Lew for the responses. 

We have made a lot of progress with the location since the time I sent the email. 

The official announcement is likely in a couple of weeks; more info then ;-)
