Code and Coffee Fridays

Guys,

I have been thinking about implementing something on Fridays that I think could be pretty interesting.  An

informal gathering at Hooked on Colfax every Friday as a work from the coffee shop day.  The idea I have

is that any one can bring their code, and get help, suggestions, etc..  I was thinking it would be a good way 

for those of us that work alone could bounce code ideas / knowledge off each other.  

Hooked on Colfax is a pretty good size coffee shop with a large patio and a really large basement that

has a large table and chairs.

Is anyone interested?

Well sure!

I just sit in my little garret in the Golden Triangle every day coding
away. Be nice to do it in the presence of others. Especially smarter
others.

Want to start this Friday? Do we need to book the basement?

Dear lord! I just read that URL as "hooker-on-colfax-denver". I was
wondering what sort of people would be attending this function. I am
hoping that was only because I don't live up there so I'm not used to
seeing the actual name of the coffee shop! ;)

Well when I last lived in Denver, that would be what one would find on
Colfax. But I take it from the fact there is a coffee shop at all that
the neighborhood has improved at least a little.

Last week was good, myself and two others showed up.  I think we had a good go of it.  It was good to just get out of the house and work with others for part of the day.

I'm planning on showing up this Friday.  I rode my bike to Hooked on Colfax yesterday and it was a pretty nice 5 mile ride on bike paths and side streets, the most dangerous part being the end where I had to cross Colfax really.

Anyone else planning on showing up?
