We are looking for a Senior SQL Server Developer located in Boulder,
CO; the successful candidate will have strong experience developing
enterprise-level SQL Server databases with tight integration with high-
level programming languages such as PHP, C++, or Java. In addition,
this individual must have extensive experience developing database
schemas, designing, coding, and debugging stored procedures, and
performing database optimizations. The ability to quickly translate
business requirements into effective database solutions will be
critical to the candidate’s success. The successful candidate will
participate in the implementation of solutions that employ leading-
edge technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Design database schemas and optimize database design

· Design, develop, and test stored procedures

· Estimate development schedules and determine project scope

· Performs database optimization and performance tuning

· Create code that meets design specifications, follows
standards, easy to maintain and is reasonably free from defects

· Capable of identifying and proposing areas of improvement
throughout the software development process

· Works with Documentation to see that all enhancements, bug
fixes, and new products are documented

· Uses source control for the appropriate data objects.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



· 7+ years work experience developing applications that
utilize relational databases

· 5+ years Microsoft SQL Server experience designing database
schemas and performing database optimizations (SQL Server 2005
preferred)

· Knowledge of proper database normalization, indexing,
transaction protection, and locking is essential

· Experience writing complex SSIS packages

· Experience designing ETL processes

· Experience Reporting Services



DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



· Ability to develop stored procedures, triggers, user defined
functions, and views

· Strong knowledge and experience using Transact-SQL including
writing complex queries for ad-hoc reporting and data analysis

· Experience with high transaction volumes and scalable
database models

· Proficient knowledge of data modeling concepts and
formalized database design including creating tables, indexes, and
enforcing data integrity

· Experience with SQL Server Service Broker

· Experience with using XML in SQL Server

· DBA (database administration) experience is a strong plus

· Hands on experience with ecommerce databases
