Hello all,

Is there some setting within CGP that prevents people from creating mailboxes of a certain type (i.e. Calendars)?  I KNOW I saw something like this in the past and for the life of me I can't find that setting now.

It wasn't an issue previously since to my knowledge no one was using the calendar in CGP, but apparently there was one person who was.  Now when I go into any account and try to create a new mailbox I can do normal mailboxes, contacts, but no calendar.

We're on CGP 5.2.16 (Solaris x86)

Thanks in advance for any info on this.

Do they have the WebCAL option turned on for their account? Just a stab in the dark.

Yeah - WebCAL is enabled for all accounts, and that account doesn't have it set as any different from the default.

I could have sworn there was some option for making calendars visible or not.  If I find it I'll post back here in case anyone else has the same issue.

There is an option to make contacts/calendars visible via IMAP (Non-Mail Mailboxes visible via IMAP on the User | Settings page).  I turn this to NO if my users use an IMAP client so they don't see the calendar and contacts folders in the list.  But, I don't know if that has anything to do with the ability to create them.

Is this what you had in mind?

Thanks to Justin, Jim, and Brian for the suggestions, but unfortunately that's not it.  I tried it earlier but it had no effect on the Webuser interface options.

I can go into the Webmail client in multiple skins (Simplex, Niversoft's LookOut, etc.) but when I try to create a new folder, my only options are: Mailbox, Notes, Address Book.

I have "Non-Mail Mailboxes visible via IMAP" set to YES and all services enabled for the accounts I'm testing with but there is no way to create a new calendar folder.

We had this exact problem when upgrading from 5.1.16 to 5.2, almost
three months ago. Not only the Calendar option went missing on webmail,
but the the Lightning extension on Thunderbird also ceased to work. The
existing Calendar folders showed on webmail and IMAP clients a regular
folders.
We had to downgrade and I am still waiting for an answer.

Best regards,

E. Robles

This is the symptom of WebCAL being disabled for the account or domain, or a licensing issue - make sure WebCAL is enabled again, and if doesn't work contact CGP support directly.

Hi all,

In case anyone else runs into this issue - it was a licensing issue.  It seems that when I put the new licenses in for this year a month ago or so, I replaced all keys (not the master key).  There was a separate key for the calendar which should not have changed.  This happened a month ago or so but no one noticed it until now (since most of our faculty/staff, especially those who use calendars are on a different server).

Its fixed now with help from sup...@zimbra.com.  Thanks to all for your suggestions as well.
