Request: LIST module - processing of incoming messages

Would it be possible to enhance the LIST module so it can process some of the errors synchronously? This would reduce backscatter to the third-parties whose address has been put in the return-path by spammers.

I'm pretty sure those errors could be processed during the SMTP transaction:
- address cannot be subscribed because it cannot be routed
- You cannot post messages because you are not subscribed to this list
