"Following the acquisition of THUS Limited by Vodafone Group Plc in
July 2012, we have been investing in our people, networks, systems and
processes to align our services and ensure a seamless transition to
Vodafone. Part of the integration programme is the transfer of all
THUS Limited customer agreements to Vodafone Limited and as such, your
agreement will transfer to Vodafone Limited (Company Number: 1471587
and having its registered office at Vodafone House, The Connection,
Newbury, Berkshire RG14 2FN) on 1st April 2013.
Your service will not be affected by this change and your current
agreement terms and conditions, charges and service levels will remain
the same. The only changes which you will see are as detailed below.

Changes to your invoices from 1st April 2013

What changes will I see?
You will see the following changes on all invoices issued on or after
1st April 2013;
- Your invoices will be rebranded as Vodafone. THUS and Demon logos
will be replaced with the Vodafone logo "

I expect they mean they are mutilating the home page or something.

I wonder if it will make the status page any more reliable?

I nearly discounted it as phishing spam! It fails to use a personalised
form of address and was due to occur on April 1st. Perfect!

Or remotely updating your router so that the admin interface is
Vodafone-branded, perhaps.

I use fasthosts. No real complaints and they seem reasonably priced for
domain names but there are limits on number of e-mail addresses. You can
forward to multiple e-mail addresses so for example I forward to my
BTYahoo account for collection by TP and also for my gmail account from
where I can collect via smartphone.
One other little thing there are limitations on the character set in
e-mail addresses e.g. "&" which caught me out.

Presumably it might, as AFAIK Demon have not recanted. My guess is that
they decided not to switch the TP-S authentication server off, but that
the next time that it "breaks" they won't bother to fix it. Those with
TP-S who are worried should look on demon.ip.support.turnpike for a
possible work-around, on the thread titled "addrauth.server.demon.net".
As the most important post on it was made as far back as the 13th,
they'd probably need to look for it on Googlegroups.
