Just thought that I would mention that Routerstats now works with the TG542n -the router supplied by Demon as part of the ADSL2+ upgrade. I have found it a great help to see what is happening to the router sync speed and noise margin.

Did you mean TG582n?

If you have routerstats running with the TG582n as configured by
Demon I'd be pleased to know how you did it.

I've used John's program for years and have had no luck with the
latest version and the TG582n as supplied with the upgrade.

Multiple typo on my part: Should be TG582n (I have changed the topic title -hopefully!)

Yes; oh bother! (or something like that...)

The latest version of RouterStats (RouterStats v 6.8g Issue Date: 28 Feb 2013) includes the TG582n. Setting up is simple -except your router will be at 192.168.254.254. Select the TG582n and you will find 'telnet//192.168.254.254' goes into the URL box automatically.

Post back if you still have problems.

Thanks for the heads-up. I've just installed the "Lite" version, and (as
advertised) it seems to work fine with my Speedtouch 546v6.

For anyone else that may be having a problem getting routerstats
to work with a TG582n, the URL must have a forward slash at the
end.

Some of us learn the hard way :-(
