Seems ff.net has come up with a new wrinkle to make all our lives a
little more interesting. They are now putting the chapter title in each
chapter's <TITLE> tag, which means that DeFFNetIzer is now putting the
title of any story's first chapter into the story's title and folder
name. I swear, all the time they should be looking for plagiarizers or
keeping the login system from crashing, they spend it instead looking
for ways to screw with people who use fanfic downloaders...

I rather like the new Title system, it makes finding out what the
chapter title is in the middle of a story a lot easier. I would often
have to scroll up to find out.
However now all saved chapters have the title with chapter 1 in the
name, rather then the chapter's number and name like on FFNet.

I do expect this to be a very simple fix however. I would like to
request that DeFFNetizer save each chapter title into the story
however, rather then just remove what they just added. You can remove
the chapter number if you want, but I think adding the title of a
chapter to the title of the page makes a lot of sense.

just in case it was not clear, I would like to only see the Chapter #
part removed from the title (the one at the end is much better), but I
would not mind having the title of the chapter remain in <title> tag.

Also the log in system for me have never crashed, so I think you might
want to look at your system.

Yea... Why does things like this happen when I have to work... I
haven't even looked at my online saver yet to see how that is working
(or not). I'll be back later today and will start working on this new
issue then.

Thanks,
Chad

A couple weeks ago people I correspond with couldn't log on to review or
upload chapters. I myself couldn't log on to add a story to my
favorites. It was only for a weekend.

Just a quick update here... I do have the fix done for the title
update. I am just trying to get some of the other bugs fixed before I
put the release out. I'll post it by late Thursday afternoon if I
have the other bugs worked out or not.

Thanks,
Chad
