Hi William,

The engine is developed by Scott Ludwig and was based on some old
public domain engine, called Tiny. Scott has improved on the engine
several times for his PocketChess applications for the PalmPilot. See
his project homepage at http://www.scottlu.com/Content/PocketChess.html.

It's the same engine I used for the Newton version. It's small and
fast. It compiles to 29KB and is one of the reasons why Deep Green
uses less than 2MB of RAM.
