Ian,

Saw your presentation at UseR 2010 (spoke to you briefly at the Rev
Analytics mixer) and finally got all the packages installed on my
Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 netbook. Details:

R 2.11.1
Open-jdk
JGR 1.7-1
Deducer 0.3-3

When I enter library(Deducer) in the JGR window, I get the following
message:

Note Non-JGR console detected:
Deducer is best used from within JGR (http://jgr.markushelbig.org/).

The data viewer pops up, but I get no other menus. I can get the text
menus if I use deducer().

I will try the latest version of Deducer off of r-forge.net on my 64
bit Ubuntu desktop when I get back home and see if I get the same
error.

Michael

Michael,

It was nice meeting you. try the version on the dev server:

install.packages("Deducer",,"http://rforge.net/",type="source")
