Greetings,

I'm running Deducer on my Mac (Snow Leopard) and for some windows I am
unable to choose between the options in the pull-down menu. For
instance, when selecting the t-test Options, the t-test Variant only
shows Unequal variance (Welch). The software will not let me see or
select Equal variance (Student).

Are there any solutions that people know about for this problem?

Thanks,
Roger

Hi,

I have a similar problem for the "plot builder". The options in the
pull-down menu doesn't appear and the name of the variables I select
is not visible in the box.
I'm running Deducer on Mac (Lion).

Any advice ?

Thanks,
Sam

Go to preferences and disable "native mac look and feel." I thought
that this was fixed, but apparently not. I have completely disabled it
in the development version, so mac users will just have to deal with
ugly file/color choosers :( .

Mine is doing it on ALL pull-downs, in all stats dialog boxes, even on the data viewer page (would not let me change variable type). I did as Ian suggested and it seemed to fixed it.

I too am having problems using all dropdown menus, only for some reason the option to disable "native mac look and feel" does not appear in my preferences. I compared it with a friend's preferences and I was definitely in the right place, its just that my preferences look slightly different and lack that option. What should I do?

There was an edge case that wasn't properly considered when I got rid
of the buggy Quaqua LAF default. I'll release a bug fix version of
deducer to cran in the near future. in the mean time, a work around is
to go to Preferences uncheck "Show data viewer on start-up," and click
"save all." Then restart JGR.
