Hallo,

ich habe auf meinem MP3-Player nur wenig Platz.

Die meisten meiner MP3's liegen aber mit 192 Kbit und mehr auf der Platte.

Gibt Euch eine Software (für Windows) bekannt, welche einfach nur die
kompletten Verzeichnisse (Struktur sollte erhalten bleiben) - auf
beispielsweise 112 Kbit (für Hörbücher ausreichend) runterrechnet ?

PS. ja -ich mache vorher ne kopie der Originaldaten ;-)

Cdex kann genau das. Einmal alles einstellen und dann rattert das durch.

Ich glaub übrigens nicht, dass Du für Hörbücher (Sprache, Mono) 112 kb
brauchst.

Genau. Man findet es unter dem Menupunkt "Konvertieren - Komprimierte
Audiodatei(en) erneut kodieren" etwas schwer, wenn man "transkodieren"
erwartet ... ;-)

ACK. VBR 64-128 in hoher Qualität ist bei Sprache im Durchschnitt 80 kbs,
ohne daß einem die Ohren brennen.

64kbs Mono entsprechen doch 128kbs Stereo, oder?

Jedenfalls sollten 80kbs reichen, alternativ kann man ja sogar ein auf
Sprache optimiertes Format nehmen (zb .spx).
