Hi folks,

ich möchte per VB Daten aus dem BW (vorrangig) und BEX zwecks reporting
(KPIs, Revenue, Forecasts, etc.) herunterladen. Bin vollkommen ahnungslos
und habe mir nun erst einmal "SAP R/3 Kommunikation mit RFC und Visual
Basic" (Patrick Theobald) sowie "ABAP Objects - Einführung in die
SAP-Programmierung" (Horst Keller, Sascha Krüger) bestellt, da das Thema
BAPI/RFC mich erst einmal vollkommen erschlagen hat.

Gibt's noch weitere Tips/links/Hinweise, wo ich weiterhin ansetzen könnte?

Ein Tipp von mir:
Nimm den .NET Connector + VB.Net und nicht den DCOM-Connector + VB 6.
Der Support etc. des DCOM-Connectors läuft eh zum 31.12.2004 aus.
Ausserdem ist es dermassen einfach, Daten mit dem .NET Connector aus SAP zu
ziehen, dass einem schwindelig wird.

auwei, das ganze soll in ein VB6-Monsterprojekt. :^|
Hast Du Beispiele/Links für .net? Vielleicht packe ich ja damit endlich mal
einen sinnvollen Start in .net ... :-)

Du kannst den ganzen Kram in VB.Net/C# coden und dann (mit ein paar Tricks)
auch in deinem VB-Projekt nutzen.

Einiges ist in C#, was man aber ohne grosse Probs nach VB.Net portieren
kann.
