a good experience with WeSay and DDP
Dear all,  ( and I've also cross-posted this to wesay@googlegroups.com <mailto:ddp-ideas@googlegroups .com> ) We just had a good experience last week teaching a basic-dictionary-making workshop to a group of non-linguist mother-tongue speakers of a language in the northern Philippines. If I don't write something up now, I'm sure I never will, so here goes.... more »

Mind map
Hi Ron, When discussing semantic domains and how they work in our workshop today, I thought of a mind map. I did a quick search for "Drupal, mindmap" and 20 minutes later I have a fully functioning mindmap system installed on the website. I hope you are familiar with mindmaps? What I need now is to get the latest DDP into Freemind format (*.mm).... more »

DDP data entry in Excel, then converting to MDF SFM
Dear friends, I've posted the following as a file (ExcelTemplateInstructions.doc .zip, 163KB), complete with formatting and screenshots (three of them). Or, you can read it as plain text, below. One thing not mentioned in the article: In one village, since we only had electricity for a few hours each day, we ended up having a lot of... more »
