Subject: DC Pride Tabling Opportunity
Hi everyone -

Amnesty International's Mid-Atlantic Office is exploring the
opportunity of having a table at Pride's street festival on Sunday,
June 14th.  We are expecting to have new actions from the IS on LGBT
human rights for circulation and we would also like to use the
opportunity to promote how to get involved with Amnesty International
in the DC area (see below).  Would anyone be interested in tabling?
Please let Jen Horwitz know, jhorw...@aiusa.org, as soon as possible
if you are interested in helping to table.

Somewhat related - we're launching a series of human rights happy
hours for the DC community starting this month.  We'll be kicking off
the festivities on Thursday, May 28th at Science Club from 5pm - 9pm
to celebrate Amnesty International's birthday.  The evening will
include drink specials (including a signature Amnesty International
mixed drink), music, and action opportunities.  This will be the first
in a series of Happy Hour for Human Rights events for 2009.  We hope
you can join us!
